Device check

Will my phone work?

Two requirements. Sixty seconds to check both.

*#06#If an EID number (32 digits) appears alongside your IMEI, your phone has eSIM hardware

eSIM support

Most phones since 2019. Dial *#06# — an EID number means yes.

Carrier-unlocked

Financed or contract phones are often locked. iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock.

That's it

No app, no account, no special plan. Install from Settings in 2 minutes.

The 60-second check

Two requirements: your phone must support eSIM and it must be carrier-unlocked. Here's how to check both in under a minute, plus the full supported-device list.

  1. 1

    The 60-second check: dial *#06#

Open the phone app and dial *#06#. If an EID number (32 digits) appears alongside your IMEI, your phone has eSIM hardware. No EID listed usually means no eSIM support.

  2. 2

    iPhone: Settings check

Settings → General → About — look for an EID entry. Or Settings → Cellular: if you see “Add eSIM” / “Add Cellular Plan”, you're good.

  3. 3

    Android: Settings check

Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs (Pixel) or Settings → Connections → SIM manager (Samsung). If there's an “Add eSIM” / “Download SIM” option, your phone supports it.

  4. 4

    Your phone must be carrier-unlocked

A phone locked to a carrier contract will refuse foreign eSIM profiles. Check: iPhone — Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should say “No SIM restrictions”. Android — ask your carrier, or try any other SIM.

Supported devices by brand

Not exhaustive — new eSIM phones ship constantly. When in doubt, trust the *#06# check over any list.

Apple iPhone

iPhones bought in mainland China have no eSIM; Hong Kong/Macau models vary by generation.

  • iPhone XS / XS Max / XR
  • iPhone 11 / 11 Pro / 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone SE (2020 & 2022)
  • iPhone 12 / mini / Pro / Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 / mini / Pro / Pro Max
  • iPhone 14 / Plus / Pro / Pro Max
  • iPhone 15 / Plus / Pro / Pro Max
  • iPhone 16 / Plus / Pro / Pro Max / 16e
  • iPhone 17 series & iPhone Air

Apple iPad

  • iPad Pro 11″ (1st gen+) & 12.9″ (3rd gen+)
  • iPad Air (3rd gen+)
  • iPad (7th gen+)
  • iPad mini (5th gen+)

Samsung Galaxy

Some carrier-branded and budget regional variants ship without eSIM — verify with the *#06# check.

  • Galaxy S20 / S21 / S22 / S23 / S24 / S25 series
  • Galaxy Note 20 / Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Flip (all) & Z Fold (all)
  • Galaxy A54 / A55 (region-dependent)

Google Pixel

Pixel 3/3a support eSIM on most carriers; from Pixel 4 support is universal.

  • Pixel 3 / 3a (most models)
  • Pixel 4 → Pixel 10 (all models, incl. a-series & Fold)

Other Android

Always confirm your exact regional model — eSIM support differs between markets.

  • Motorola Razr (2019+), Edge (2022+), G53 and newer
  • Xiaomi 12T Pro, 13 series and newer
  • OPPO Find X3 Pro and newer, Reno 5A+
  • Sony Xperia 10 IV+, Xperia 1 IV+, Xperia 5 IV+
  • Nothing Phone (2) and newer
  • Fairphone 4 & 5
  • Honor Magic 4 Pro and newer
  • Huawei P40 / P40 Pro & Mate 40 Pro (not P40 Pro+ / lite)

Not on the list?

The list can't keep up with every regional model. If *#06# shows an EID and the phone is unlocked, it will work — the check beats the list.
